Hunter Advises on 12th Florida Hotel Sale

     ATLANTA, July 9, 2015 - Hunter Hotel Advisors announced today that they acted as exclusive agents for the seller in the sale of the 100-room Wingate by Wyndham Miramar, Florida to a local investor.  The attractive 4–story property opened in 2001, and was owned by a Florida investment group.

 

     This is the 12th Florida hotel that  Hunter has advised on in the last four months.

 

     “The Florida hotel transaction market has been exceptionally active over the past 12 months.  Institutional investors as well as regional investors are bullish on the market, especially South Florida,” said Teague Hunter, president Hunter Hotel Advisors.  “Coastal markets in general are attracting more interest, which in turn translates to lower cap rates and stronger overall values.”

 

     Hunter is expecting several more Florida hotels to close in the next few weeks including assets in Vero Beach and Ft. Pierce.  “Florida is in major growth mode economically as baby boomers continue to move south and talented millennials are migrating to Florida’s multiple large metro markets,” said Trey Scott, vice president Hunter Hotel Advisors.  Hunter’s Florida offices are in Miami and Jacksonville.
