ATLANTA, April 30, 2015 -  Hunter Hotel Advisors announced today that they represented a South Carolina-based development company in the sale of the Hampton Inn and Suites Gainesville Downtown in Fla. to Ashford Hospitality Trust for $25.3 million. The 124-room institutional grade hotel is the only hotel in the heart of downtown Gainesville’s historic district, and is close to the University of Florida campus and other top demand generators.

“Our buyer is thrilled to add Gainesville’s best performing hotel to their portfolio,” said Teague Hunter, president of Hunter Hotel Advisors.  “The hotel has a superior RevPAR of $117.45, with occupancy of 75.6% and Average Daily Rate of $155.38 that far exceeds anyone else in the market.”

The stately hotel was built in 2009 and has become a downtown landmark that is positioned on the corner of the two main thoroughfares.   The developer is known for his market specific designs that exceed brand standards.
