Hunter Hotel Advisors Brokers Sale of Hyatt House Nashville at Vanderbilt
Hunter Hotel Advisors (“HUNTER”) is pleased to share the sale of the Hyatt House Nashville at Vanderbilt. David Perrin, Senior Vice President of HUNTER, advised Songy Highroads on the sale of the asset to OTO Development, which is part of The Johnson Group. HUNTER closed the deal on Dec. 22, 2021.
“The Nashville market has long drawn our interest,” says Corry Oakes, CEO of OTO Development. “As we were identifying assets, HUNTER brought us Hyatt House Nashville at Vanderbilt, a property with an enviable design and ideal location. We couldn’t be more pleased with this acquisition and the professionalism of the team that brokered the deal.”
In the Hyatt House Nashville, OTO Development acquires an institutionally branded asset in the heart of Music City. The 201-room hotel is just three years old and offers an outdoor pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, bar, 24-hour guest market, and nearly 2,500 square feet of meeting space. It’s situated less than a mile from Vanderbilt University, Downtown Nashville, and Centennial Park, which houses the popular Parthenon. This central location allows the hotel to cater to leisure, business, and group travel.
In 2021, Nashville consistently ranked as one of the best places to visit, receiving accolades from Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, USA Today, Thrillist, Newsweek, and Southern Living. Since 2010, the city has recorded consistent year-over-year growth in annual visitors. More than 16 million people visited Nashville in 2019, a 6% increase from the previous year, resulting in $7.5 billion of direct spending.
