The 220-room full-service Marriott, built in 2009, is connected to the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Centre, which offers over 50,000 square feet of convention meeting space, including a 30,800 square foot exhibition hall and the Macon Coliseum, which accommodates more than 9,000 spectators, and is home to the Macon Mayhem, a minor-league hockey team, and hosts year-round music, sports, and other entertainment. Adjacent to the hotel is the Coliseum Medical Centers, the premier medical facility of South Georgia.

Tim Osborne, Vice President at Hunter Hotel Advisors, represented the seller in the transaction.  “Macon is a strategic logistical hub because of its location at the intersection of I-75 and I-16 between a growing Atlanta and soon to be widened Port of Savannah.  Amazon is opening a 1 million square foot shipping center in Macon next year as a perfect example of the growth that the Marriott Macon City Center will benefit from.”
