Atlanta, GA., May 28, 2013. —Hunter Hotel Advisors announced today that the firm recently closed on the sale of two select service hotels in Georgia, including the 112-room  Homewood Suites in Alpharetta, Ga and a130-room Fairfield Inn Midtown in Savannah, Ga.

Hunter represented a joint venture between Walton Street and Noble Investments as the seller, and arranged the $7.5 million sale of the Homewood Suites to P Squared Hospitality. The buyer plans to invest $3 million to completely renovate the property including the lobby, all guest rooms and the pool so it will include all of the latest Homewood Suites features “The renovations are sure to increase the assets ADR,” said Trey Scott, vice president of Hunter Hotel Advisors. The Homewood Suites Alpharetta has a prime location just off heavily traveled  Interstate 400, and is near shopping, office parks and leisure generators. 

Hunter also represented Rockbridge Partners, a division of Rockbridge Capital LLC, for the sale of Fairfield Inn to the Savannah-based HD Companies Marilyn Cox, vice president of  Hunter Hotel Advisors, led the team and stated, “we saw strong interest in this asset due to the recent revitalization of Midtown Savannah.” HD Companies plans to renovate the lobby and  breakfast area. 

For this year-to-date, Hunter has closed a total of 22 transactions. With a vast client list and robust activity, the firm has nearly 100 hotels currently on the market totaling close to a billion dollars in value. At least six additional hotels are scheduled to close by the end of May.
